The famous Sissi Palace on Corfu, who doesn’t know it? Empress Elisabeth of Austria had the estate built on her favourite island with its beneficial climate and shady olive trees. In 1892, the Achilleion Palace, named after the heroic figure Achilles, was completed.

Stylistically, the building is reminiscent of Roman villas like those uncovered in buried Pompeii. The palace is uninhabited. The magnificent interiors and the sculpture park invite curious visitors to look, marvel and stroll.
